This lavish book about the most famous native of Prague Franz Kafka is intended for everyone who wishes to learn more about his life and work, and his world. It brings to life the world of Prague German literature, the world of Kafka’s interests, family and friends, and also the world of his strange stories, which continue to fascinate and puzzle both readers and experts.

The author of the text is the poet, translator and Germanist Radek Maly, twice recipient of the Magnesia Litera Prize. The illustrations have been created by Renáta Fučíková, a leading Czech illustrator and holder of many Czech and international awards.
